The NPPFF is a charity governed by a Scheme dated 3rd November 2000 – this replaced the Scheme dated 24th May 1961.
The sole trustee of the charity is the Newton Poppleford and Harpford Parish Council.
The land and buildings known as the Pavilion and Playing Fields is held in trust for the charity by the Newton Poppleford and Harpford Parish Council.
The NPPFF is managed by a Trustee Board of Management.
Members of the Parish Council automatically become members of the Trustee Board upon election/co-option.
The object of the charity is, in the interests of social welfare, to improve the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by the provision and maintenance of a recreation ground. The area of benefit means the ecclesiastical parishes of Harpford and Newton Poppleford and surrounding area.
The Annual General Meeting of the charity is held in October each year.
